Timed NCMHCE Mock Exam

What a timed NCMHCE mock exam should feel like

A mock exam is only useful if it matches the real one. This exam reproduces the NCMHCE as NBCC administers it: 11 clinical case studies (10 on the 2027 outline), a live 225-minute countdown, and the scheduled 15-minute break after case 5. No feedback appears until you submit.

Pacing

225 minutes across 11 cases is about 20 minutes per case, including reading the narrative. Most candidates who run out of time spent too long on early intake sections. The timer stays visible so you learn what 20 minutes feels like before exam day, and the break lands exactly where the real one does.

What you get after you submit

• A scored result by domain: Professional Practice and Ethics; Intake, Assessment, and Diagnosis; Areas of Clinical Focus; Treatment Planning; Counseling Skills and Interventions; and Core Counseling Attributes.
• Every question reviewed with its rationale, including the weighted score for the option you picked, so you can tell a near miss from a harmful choice.
• A readiness update. The mock feeds your readiness score, which weights accuracy by how much each domain counts on the exam.

When to take it

Take a mock early for a baseline, then do your real preparation in the untimed case simulations, where you can read every rationale. Return to the timed exam once your readiness score holds above 60%, and sit at least two full mocks in the final two weeks.
